It is with great pleasure that I introduce Speculative Realm. This is a 2007 publishing project which will see several stories, I can’t be sure exactly how many (it depends on the word count of the successful stories), published. Rather than repeat what I’ve already said on the Speculative Realm website, I will encourage you to follow the link and read about the project when you are ready.

One thing I will say is although I classify this project as self-publishing, which I’m doing for the overall experience, the writers who submit cannot say they have self-published because 1) the writer doesn’t know if their story will be accepted (most probably won’t be), 2) the writer has no say about anything to do with the set up and marketing of the finished product, including the cover artwork, and 3) the writer will be paid a royalty.

Self-publishing means you have a say in these things. So this project is self-publishing for me, but it’s not for those who submit. Please keep that in mind when you read through the site.
