Getting the Urge

As all webmasters know, there comes a time when they get the urge to do bigger and better on their website. They get the urge to make changes, and I’m getting that urge.

I’ve found myself looking at templates. What works? What doesn’t? I’ve also looked at a number of CMS packages and there’s always one reason, or many reasons, why I don’t like the programme.

Last night, I found a site that talked about making an CMS site with WordPress. Now that sounds interesting because I like using WordPress. Apparently, with know-how, it can be done and can be quite effective.

The key word, of course, is “know-how”.

The template I’m using is not “clean” and that causes me some irritation because I like clean coding. I suppose I could look for another template, and believe me when I say I’ve looked, but I can’t find anything that really grabs me. The other option is to take the template I have and clean it up myself…hmmm, not sure if I can do this though. My knowledge of php is limited, at best.

So the urge is there. I want bigger and better, but I’m not sure how I want to impliment these wonderful changes. Don’t be surprised if you visit one day and the site looks different. I’ve just got to hope that it doesn’t look awful because of a problem I’m suffering. :)
