A dear friend posted some wonderful news, and I just had to mention it here.

In May, Helen entered one of her manuscripts into The Children’s Book Council of Australia’s Frustrated Writers’ Mentoring Program competition. She won. The prize is being mentored by a published author and when that’s finished, the manuscript will be sent to a publisher for an in-depth report.

This is such wonderful news, Helen. I want to wish you the best of luck and I hope this is the first step, on the right road, to becoming a published author yourself. Congratulations!
